review policy: all review are unsolicited by the businesses mentioned. i only write about places i love and would recommend to visiting guests. life is too short to waste time writing about places i don’t like, so i don’t write negative reviews. thus, rest assured, if it’s mentioned on SCL, it is highly recommended by SCL; something you need to visit/see/dine/eat/drink to get a feel for the best of sonoma county. if it’s not mentioned on this site, i either don’t recommend it, haven’t been or simply haven’t had time to write about it yet.
wine reviews: every so often, i might mention what i’m drinking if i really, really like it and feel it’s a good sonoma county recommendation (see review policy above regarding negative reviews). same goes for wine. i do work in the wine industry and some of these wineries may be a customer of mine. some of them may not be. i will not be able to tell you which is which because that is proprietary information for the job that actually pays my bills, which blogging does not. rest assured that all reviews & recommendations are unsolicited by the winery and all wine has been purchased by me and are not free samples. if this policy changes for a specific post, i will note such in that specific post. this is as neutral as I can make it and you’ll just have to trust me: if it’s recommended on SCL, it’s goooooooood to the last drop.
